You'll find more details and a schedule of the day on our Fiddle Fest page.
TrueGrass specializes in reviving music of the old-time masters, adapting modern material to the bluegrass idiom, and creating original songs and new tunes in the traditional stringband style.
All veterans of the Lake Superior Big Top Chautuaqua, with over 100 years of combined professional performing experience, they take a traditional music recipe, add a pinch of influence from rock, blues, jazz, and gospel, spice it with experienced showmanship, and cook up a steady diet of fun to engage your audience on and off stage.
TrueGrass features Tom Draughon from Ashland WI on guitar, fiddle & vocals, Bruce Qualey from Cable WI on bass & vocals, and Jed Malischke from Spooner WI on banjo, resophonic guitar & vocals.
They perform together and with various guest musicians throughout NW Wisconsin and the surrounding four state areas. Whether you have a small venue or large concert hall, a one act show or a multi band festival, TrueGrass can also help you organize, promote, and stage manage your event.
